Curry Cauliflower Soup with Turmeric and Bone Broth: Anti-Inflammatory Recipe

Curry Cauliflower Soup with Turmeric and Bone BrothSoup Season Is Here.

It’s that wonderful time of the year when I can start enjoying fragrant, flavorful soups. Curry is one of my favorite spices. And cauliflower is one of my favorite vegetables. Combine them together and I just can’t seem to get enough.

I’ve made this Curry Cauliflower Soup with Turmeric twice this autumn already — and my husband keeps asking for more.

Turmeric.

Recently, I’ve been adding turmeric to my diet due to its amazing anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties. In addition, there is turmeric in curry powder too — so this recipe is a medicinal powerhouse. And this does not account for the Bone Broth — which is rich in collagen. Read about some of the benefits of Bone Broth collagen here. This soup contains only healthy, life-giving ingredients — with tons of flavor.  Continue reading “Curry Cauliflower Soup with Turmeric and Bone Broth: Anti-Inflammatory Recipe”

Raw Vegan GF Chocolate Coconut Macaroon Balls Recipe

Raw Vegan GF Chocolate Coconut Macaroon Balls
This recipe for Chocolate Macaroon Balls was originally inspired by a bag of Hail Merry Macaroons which a friend gave me (thanks Caroline). After first having them, I was intent on creating a recipe of my own — but that never happened. Months went by and I forgot all about my plans.

Recently however, I have been more intentional about cutting down (or even out) sugar due to some developing health concerns. I wrote about the health issues here: Why I Had to Stop Drinking Coffee. And since I had to switch from coffee to teeccino (a totally caffeine-free herbal coffee), I have started craving chocolate again — which is no surprise.

So I was craving a sweet, healthy treat but didn’t have anything in the house, and I wanted something life-giving. So I made these Raw Vegan Gluten Free Chocolate Coconut Macaroon Balls with ingredients I had on hand. They were a great success. Even my husband was eager to eat more than one.

And since I haven’t shared a recipe in a long time on Reformed Health, I thought it was the perfect opportunity.

Here is a calorie analysis:

Simple Frozen Yogurt Recipe that Actually Boosts Eye Clarity

Macular Degeneration runs in our family. My grandmother lost her eyesight due to it, and my father is legally blind due to the devastating “wet” version of the disease. know blueberries are excellent for the eyes, so I have made a recent commitment to incorporate them into my diet as much as possible. This blueberry frozen yogurt recipe is a great way to use food to stay healthy.

An Organic Olive Oil Mayonnaise Recipe that Works $0.12 per serving. Simple. Nutritious. Delicious.

I have been frustrated by failed attempts at homemade mayonnaise — and this is the first recipe that has given me success. The gal who shared this recipe with me suggested using a light olive oil — but I am committed to organic, extra virgin, first cold pressed. Costco carries a great product for a great price. Their Kirkland brand has loads of flavor. It is great for salads, cooking, or dipping bread. It also works with this mayonnaise recipe. The flavor is a bit intense — but it works for our family (in a pinch).

Chocolate Therapy

Organic Chocolate Therapy Recipe. Simple. Delicious. (amazingly) Nutritious.

I love that this recipe is sweetened with honey. It is such a life giving food — and it is the one sweetener that is stamped with God’s full approval (in moderation). If you have an aversion to honey — or are a strict vegan — you could easily substitute maple syrup.

Organic Chocolate Beet Cake Recipe. Delicious and (almost) Nutritious.

Here is a great recipe if you want to sneak some beets into your diet. Making Organic Chocolate Beet Cake is not as simple as some of the recipes on Reformed Health — but it is so worth it. “Healthy” chocolate cake that tastes like the kind you grew up on is not necessarily attainable — but there are ways to make it healthier, and this recipe nails it.

Quick and Spicy Organic Black Bean Soup Recipe. Simple. Delicious. Nutritious. Only $2.35 for 2 bowls.

With the growing availability of affordable organic food — there is no excuse to not make the full switch to 100% organic. Throw out all those processed, additive laden, pesticide filled products and fill up your pantry with wholesome, life-giving food. You’ll be glad you did.

You CAN afford to eat organic, but you CAN’T afford not to.

2 Decadent (but organic) Chocolate Frosting Recipes: Whipped and Buttercream

The chocolate buttercream frosting recipe could be made with coconut oil (and coconut milk) if you wanted a vegan variety, but it gets too hard in the refrigerator and too soft at room temperature. A compromise would be to store the cake in the fridge, but let it sit on the counter an hour or so before serving. But, I prefer butter in this recipe.

Coconut Milk Chia Seed Custard Recipe – Simple. Delicious. Nutritious. $0.70 per serving.

When you desire a simple, delightful dessert that is life-giving and healthy — this is it. Be careful if you are watching your calories: this recipe is on the higher side. And because it is so tasty — it is easy to keep gobbling it up.

Curried Quinoa and Turnips — Recipe: Nutritious. Delicious. Simple. $1.45 per serving.

Anti-inflammatory,
