A Game to Win by Losing.

I am thoroughly enjoying losing weight. The beautiful thing about my diet plan is that it doesn’t feel like dieting at all. In fact, I get to enjoy all the foods I love. When my daughter came for a visit around her birthday, I made an amazing Chocolate Beet Cake.  It is not low fat  or low calorie — especially with the decadent Chocolate Frosting I put on top. But I ate as much as I wanted. We also went out to pizza and enjoyed other nice meals together. I ate all these foods without “going off” my diet. Yes, I had to account for what I ate. But I didn’t feel guilty. I didn’t feel like I was cheating. I was just enjoying my family with good food.

And when my step-son came for the weekend — we went to our local brewery and sampled some craft beer. Never once did I have to say, “No. I can’t have that because it’s not on my diet.” On the other hand…I could say, “No. That’s not on my diet” if I wanted to (and I have said it — when it is something I don’t WANT to eat). I am totally in charge of my weight loss plan, and I love it. Losing weight doesn’t have to be a burden. It is like a fun game that I win by losing.

Converting to Lifestyle.

Of course, I need to grow in one area specifically. That is — I need to make this a life-style way of eating, just as I have done with eating organic. Once I hit my weight-loss goal, I will only need to maintain my weight. So this is something I will be working on.

Posting these results helps keep me accountable. If I can’t be successful, why would you want to read my book when it comes out: Eat Whatever You Want and Still Lose Weight. For now: here are my results for February.
