My 46th birthday was on a Monday.
The aging process has been hard to accept. Looking in the mirror has forced me to accept that I have wrinkles. No one mistakes me for 30 anymore. And I am never carded unless it is company policy. The joys of aging!
But something happened over the weekend that gave me a birthday surprise: Rosehip Oil.
I rarely put anything on my skin that in not organic. Skin is the largest organ in our body – and it “eats” what it touches. So, I consider what I wear on my skin as part of my “diet.”
Coconut and olive oil are great – but they always leave me feeling greasy. So when I heard Dr. Axe say that Rosehip Oil was better for the skin than coconut oil – I sought some out. If it was not too expensive, I might buy some and give it a try.
Our local Earthfare market had Organic Rosehip Oil on sale for $11 — which was in my price range. I sampled some. It smelled like Vitamin E (which is mixed in). Not my favorite smell. The oil itself had an orangish tint (it is high in Vitamin A). I rubbed it on my hands and face. Not at all greasy.
I liked it immediately. It made my skin feel so supple and refreshed. I bought it, applying it that night and the next morning, which happened to be the Sunday before my birthday.
At church, a friend told me that my skin had a nice glow. Another friend said I looked so pretty. It knew it was the Rosehip Oil.
On the day of my birthday, I looked in the mirror, and I swear I looked younger than I had a year ago. Seemed impossible and maybe it was just the power of suggestion (but I don’t think so). My skin was glowing. And even my décolleté appeared less wrinkled and aged.
I now use Restoring Rosehip Oil by Aura Cacia daily – and I love it.
As I was writing this post to share my good news, I searched online and found it for $6.99. What a deal!
Good price for a great investment. Give it a try.
