To stay healthy, our family eats organic salads daily. To save time and money, the recipes have to be simple. To eat them with every meal, the food must be tasty. This broccoli salad is another favorite that meets all the requirements.
Broccoli is loaded with vitamin B, vitamin C, vitamin K, and helps the body absorb vitamin D. Here is a list of some of the benefits of adding broccoli to your diet:
- It can aid in detoxification
- It can fight cancer
- It can reduce inflammation
- It can act as an antioxidant

Ingredients:
- 1 – 12 ounce bag of organic broccoli florets (or equivalent)
- 1 – large organic tomato cut into 8 pieces
- 1/4 – medium red onion, organic cut into 2 pieces
- 3 Tbs organic extra virgin olive oil
- 3 Tbs Bragg’s apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp organic Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp honey
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
- Finely chop onion in a food processor
- Add tomato and process until salsa like consistency
- Place mixture in a medium or large serving bowl
- Chop broccoli in food processor (if using whole broccoli, place peeled stalks in first)
- Add broccoli to bowl
- Add seasonings
- Drizzle with olive oil, vinegar, and honey
- Mix until well blended
- Cover bowl
- Refrigerate until ready to server
