Gremlins and Stalkers.
When weird things happen, people like to blame the gremlins. My gremlins have names. Whenever something really weird happens, something disappears or goes missing, strange gifts arrive, or any other event that I can’t explain, I jestingly blame my gremlins. Here’s why:
In my life time I have had more than one “stalker.” While sparing the details, one such gremlin attempted to damage my car.
I used to keep bottles of car oil under my carport on some shelves. One day as I was about to add some oil to my vehicle, I noticed the bottle felt funny. I poured it out (thankfully not into my car) and discovered that someone had put sand in it.
If I had poured the sandy oil into my car and tried to drive it as normal, it would have destroyed my engine. Cars have a mechanism to filter oil, but no filter would be strong enough to remove that kind of waste.
The human body also has a mechanism to filter out substances that don’t belong. Glutathione, “the mother of all antioxidants” is one of the most powerful filters in the human body.
If you are like me, you struggle to pronounce words like glutathione. So I’d like to make it simple for you. Glue-ta-THIGH-own.
According to Dr. Axe, “Glutathione (GSH) is a peptide consisting of three key amino acids that plays several vital roles in the body. Longevity researchers believe that it is so pivotal to our health that the level of GSH in our cells is becoming a predictor of how long we will live!”
- It helps digest drugs and other unnatural ingredients
- Protects the body from oxidation
- Helps the body build protein and muscle
- Aids against inflammation
- Detoxifies the liver
- Eases stress on the gall bladder
- Fights cancer
- A crucial part of the immune
- Helps prevent drug resistance
- Fights environmental toxins
Glutathione is so powerful that people have said that it eliminates our need to worry about toxins like pesticides in our foods.
This position has been taught in public school settings and in the scientific community. I have heard the position parroted to me on more than one occasion from people I love dearly.
Glutathione is most definitely one of God’s great gifts for our immune system. But does that mean it can protect us from long-term exposure to the toxicity of the modern world which is bombarded with toxins in the air, water, food, buildings, electronics, clothing and more?
That would be like expecting an oil filter to successfully remove the sand from motor oil. That would be far beyond the scope of its design. And the same holds true with Glutathione.
It is reported that in an effort to fight the toxic exposure of modern society, humans are depleting their levels of glutathione at unexpected rates.
What to Do!
So what can be done?
Eliminate as many toxins from your body as possible.
- Eat only organic foods
- Eat whole, unprocessed (or naturally processed) foods
- Use safe, non-toxic cleaning supplies
- Breathe clean, fresh air
- Drink safe water as created by God
- Keep clear of high levels of EMFs
- Limit your cellphone use
Don’t let the gremlins pollute your body with toxins. The more you can do to “pre-filter” the toxins from your body, the better your body can do the job of filtering out those toxins for which you have no control.
Dr. Axe has a great article on the subject: 9 Ways to Boost Glutathione. Whatever you do, don’t buy into a glutathione supplement. God has intended humans to get necessary nutrients from food. By design.
